When Adam sinned he brought imperfection into the planet. Imperfection is very expensive, very expensive. Imperfection will cost somebody there very soul. Without Holiness no one will see God. Holy is a word that has to do with being completely whole, complete and set apart for a purpose. The word righteousness has to do with being in right standing with God. What does right standing mean? When I say right standing, I mean the position that you are in. Think of it this way, in a relationship you may say: "I don't know where me and John stand now that he just said those kind of things about my uncle". The positioning of a relationship is dependent on the perception and interpretation of another party. Where we stand with God is primary over all other relationships. God is perfect, not perfect not like humans think of perfect, but far greater. He has no ability to make mistakes. And he made humans in His likeness. But Adam was the first human and Adam contained foundational power for humanity. So whatever behavior Adam invested at the beginning, would reproduce for all humanity. And instead of reproducing perfection, Adam reproduced imperfection for us as a human race. But the problem with imperfection is that God only knows perfection and only operates from a position of perfection. Why is that a problem? Because that leaves no room for imperfection, in His way of doing things. Jeremiah do you mean that only perfect people are accepted into heaven? Well, yes, but before you jump off of this message and say that this is nonsense. Jesus is perfect and He made us perfect but Adam chose not be perfect. HERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART: Humanity's pathway to perfection is not through their efforts to avoid mistakes. But rather, providence for perfection is discovered in yielding to Jesus and the power of His words. When a human yields to the instructions of Jesus, Jesuse makes providence for the humans inability. It's the perfect match. We have no power to make ourselves perfect, holy or righteous. We only have power to choose. If a human chooses to follow the Master, than their perfection is provided by Jesus. Now, with all of that said, we know from the scriptures that any behaviors done outside of Faith is sin. Or we could say it this way: "Any conduct performed without faith will result in imperfection." So, since any behavior that is done without faith produces imperfection, then, all actions performed in faith will produce perfection. We know from the scripture that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. We also know that Abraham was accredited righteousness or perfection for believing what God said. So then, this retirratres that righteousness, perferction or holiness is not reliant on human ability to avoid mistakes but rather it is exclusively reliant on yielding and trusting in who He is, because He is the only source for righteousness, perfection, holiness or anything of the like.
